Kirsten and Maya Play date

Kirsten came over to play on Saturday. The girls had a good time playing. Mommies had a good time catching up!

Cowboy Hat

Gigi and Hidy got Mason a cowboy hat for his birthday last night. He has been asking for a cowboy hat for several months. Last night it was a little overshadowed by the Sportacus garb, but he will LOVE it.

Happy 3rd Birthday Sportacus, I mean, Mason

I was very excited for Mason to open his birthday gift from Brian and I. We took him to his favorite "restaurant" for dinner, McDonald's. He played around and after we ate dinner, we gave him his present. Well, he LOVED it and couldn't wait to become "Sportacus." Brian said "let's not open it here, he will loose things..." YEAH RIGHT!!!! There was no way we were going anywhere before he got his hands on all the pieces. I know my Mom and Dad got better pictures of him than these, so I will post those later.
Later that night at home, he still was "Sportacus." I said "Sportacus, it's time to get in the bath." He said, "I have to save somebody first" and went running down the hall. For those of you that don't know, "Sportacus" is a super hero who is always helping people in trouble and saving them from danger.... Mason was talking about Sportacus stuff and told me the "crystal is powerful." Sportacus wears a crystal that tells him when someone needs help.

The Sonshine Easter Egg Hunt

Sonshine Academy (Mason's school) had an Easter Egg hunt that fell on Mason's birthday.

Mason wore his "Birthday Boy" ribbon to the hunt. You can see him in the group shot and then the 3 on the left are his running buddies, Gracie, Laura, and Cole.

And last, Mason is here with Ethan and Cole.

Birthday at the Park with Grandmother

I took the day off work to spend with Mason on his birthday. Grandmother came over to take him to the park to play and to see him in his Easter Egg hunt.

He really enjoyed himself at the park and the weather was great. There was a dump truck not too far away and Mason enjoyed watching that too.

Mason's 3 Special birthday cards for his 3rd Bday

Mason will have a birthday tomorrow, but we started early because he got 3 really special birthday cards tonight. First, a special 3 year old birthday card was sent home with Mommy from Mommy and Daddy's friend at work, Robin. She was so sweet to remember Mason on his 3rd birthday - and gave him his FIRST THREE DOLLARS!! Thank you Robin, he enjoyed it - he hasn't figured out what do to with money yet!! As you suggested, we will put it in a piggy bank as soon as we get him one! Next we got a special race car card from Grandmother and Pops. It had a little cut out car in it that he got to decorate with stickers that ALSO came in the card. And last, but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, he got an EXTRA SPECIAL birthday card from Great Aunt Sissy and Charlie. It was created JUST for Mason by Sissy and it has pictures of SPORTACUS on it..... In case you don't know, Sportacus is a Super Hero from Mason's favorite show, Lazytown. Mason pretends to be Sportacus daily....

Lil' Kickers

Mason started Lil' Kickers on Saturday. Grandmother and Pops gave him a season of Lil' Kickers for his birthday. What a great birthday present - Thanks! He really enjoyed himself. Most of the kids in his class are 3-4+, but he fit in fine. We were sitting on the other side of a plexiglass window - so that is why you see some reflections in the pictures...

Beautiful Spring Day

It was SO nice outside yesterday. After work, we played out for a few minutes before dinner... Maya loves to look at, pick, and then try to eat the flowers....

After dinner we went for a walk - it was SOOO nice out.
I would like to add that Mason has been doing SO good at school. Even though he opted out of a nap at school yesterday, he laid quietly on his mat while the other children slept. He has been Papi free ever since the post about it - amazing!
