Take me out to the Ball Game

Saturday was Mason's first baseball game. Brian is one of the coach's. The other coach, Greg, was out of town, so it was all up to Brian.

Pops helps Mason get his glove on right before the game.
Mason is ready and gives the "thumb's up."

Visit from Kai

Kai and his family are moving near us and Kai is going to start staying with Nesha in July. Friday his Mommy and Daddy were closing on their house, so he came for a quick visit. Mason and Maya loved showing him around and showing him all kinds of toys. Maya is handing Kai several little bouncy balls.
Kai liked chalking on the sidewalk. (and his shorts)
He took a ride in the Hummer and he thought that was really cool.

Maya wanted a turn at the wheel.

Maya liked Kai so much that she adorned him with her tiara. Sorry about that Kai.

He fit right in with the blonde hair. He found plenty to do and see and never even cried after his mom, Christy, left.

Pre K Graduation Day - Mason

My boy, the 4th from the left in his cap and gown ready to graduate from Pre-K! I can't believe it. He is growing up so fast. I left work early to have lunch with him on his last day, as he requested. His graduation ceremony was shortly after that.

He walked super fast down the aisle!

He was adorable singing and doing all the dance moves they had learned.

Mason and his buddies, Dalton on the left and Aiden on the right. What a trio!

Mason with all the ladies: Nesha, Gigi, Mommy, Grandmother! They all attended the graduation.

One last time on the Sonshine Elephant! Mason is so excited about going to Kindergarden. We registered him earlier in the week. He is most looking forward to riding the school bus.

"I can do it myself"

Maya is so proud that she can now buckle herself in her car seat. It takes a lot of sticking out her tongue to get it done, but she does NOT want anyone to help her. It is kind of nice that she can get herself strapped in!
Hidy and Gigi watch on and Maya makes sure they do not help her.

Mother's Day '08

I had an awesome Mother's Day despite Brian being out of the country. Maya and Mason brought me really sweet gifts that they made at school. Maya brought me a flower in a painted pot.
Mason made me this fabulous necklace that says "Blessed." How true. I am so blessed to be a Mother and to have an awesome Mother and Mother in law. When I wear the necklace, I get many compliments. It is eye catching and very special.

The Queen Mother, Gigi, and her 8 grandchildren pose for Mother's day.

Hidy joined in while everyone was together.

The Mama's and Babies....

Mason fished this hat out of Hidy's closet. He wore it on Halloween.

Mason and Maya love to hold Baby Eva.

So Precious.

My Dad, David, and Bill grilled steaks for all the Mother's for lunch! Thanks to all!

Busy Saturday

We had a busy Saturday. We got up and got ready to go to Jack's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Jack is from Mason's soccer and basketball teams. Mason stayed so busy that I hardly saw him for the 2 hours we were there. Maya also stayed busy, but stationary. Nesha had told me that when she took them to Chuck E. Cheese a while back that they got a new horse ride and Maya wanted to sit on it the whole time. Well, this visit was no different. I had to make her let a few other kids have a turn on the horse, but mostly she stayed on it.

Mason and Marcus dance with Chuck.

We came home for a brief nap. I woke the kids up to head to Maddox's birthday party at Pump it Up. The kids had a great time, of course. They played so hard they were all sweaty and tired. This is the birthday boy, Maddox, taking a rest in one of the obstacle course bounce houses.

Maddox's sweet little sister, Berkley, was also tired. So sweet.

Mason waits patiently to pose for the group picture at the end of the party.
Mason is on the front row and Maya is on the back row. They sure did have fun!
