Last Basketball game of the season

Mason had his last basketball game of the season. We had a little party afterwards at McDonald's where the team got their trophies. Mason was pretty pumped up and proud of his trophy. This is not a good picture of him, but it is better than the others I got. I had fully intended on getting a better one of him once we got home, but the trophy was broken within about an hour of making it home.
We only have a few days until soccer practice starts up! No break in his activities...

Antigua - Chris & Julie's Wedding

The Big Day arrives for Christopher and Julie. Most of us still enjoyed some pool / beach time that day. Christopher and Julie, not so much. They both were anxious and couldn't really relax. The wedding took place in a nicely landscaped garden area of the resort. Here, an adoring Mother (Fran) looks on as her baby boy ties the knot!

The Mother and Father of the groom, loving known in this family as Grandmother and Pops.

Julie had ask me to take pictures with her camera during the wedding. I did that with her camera and my own until her battery was almost dead. All of the photos on the beach were after the ceremony.

I wish I could say here that the groom was sweetly carrying his bride over the threshold, but rather he was threatening to put her in the ocean. In any case, I think it is a cute picture, and they can tell their kids someday whatever story they would like. But if this blog is still around, the truth will be out!!

The happy couple walks off into the sunset. Ahhh, how romantic! Congrats Christopher and Julie!

After the wedding, we had a little cocktail hour before heading to the reception area indoors.

Now I have 2 sister in laws! And here we are the HARRIS girls!
The Harris brothers.

Fran and Charlie were cute on the dance floor.
Christopher shows me his wedding band, which is going to take some time to get used to, so he says. Christopher, you are married now, time to grow up! ;)

Antigua - day 2

Day 2 -- more sun time! (my favorite) I had my cute new Tech hat that I got for my birthday from Dina, THANKS! I was so glad I had it because I got a sunburn on my scalp where my hair was parted the day before.

Friday night there was not a wedding rehearsal, but there was a rehearsal dinner.
Debbie, Julie and I.
Here are the Somers, Bill, Julie (for one more day), and Kae.

The Harris family of origin. You can see Fran is so happy to have all her "chicks" together.

And the whole crew for dinner -- missing Brian who is taking the picture. And one last picture of the special couple!

All of the Harris Crew. After we took pictures of just the Harris family of origin, Kae or someone said, "I want to get a picture of ALL of the Harris's" and Chip promptly responded "This IS all of the Harris's" and Debbie and I quickly replied "EXCUSE ME!?!?!?!"

Antigua - day 1

We flew to Antigua on the 6th for Christopher, my brother in law, and Julie's wedding to take place on the 9th. We spent all day traveling, so our first real day to enjoy was the 7th. We got out in the sun as quickly as we could. This is Brian with his 2 brothers, Chip (the oldest of the 3) on the left and Christopher (the youngest of the 3) in the middle.

Brian and I on the beach.
We all went to dinner together including Julie's Mom and Dad. Fran and Charlie got in that night and met us in time for dinner too!
This is the soon to be married couple - Chris and Julie.

This is Chip and Debbie.

Brian and I. (bad picture of me, but the other one was worse)
This picture is of our waiter singing to Julie. Once he found out they were getting married at the resort on Saturday, he started auditioning to sing at her wedding! He was good, but I think after several trips out to our table to sing, Julie was getting a little annoyed and embarrassed. I definitely would have been!

Happy Birthday to me!

Jennifer, Colette, Christine and their husbands went with Brian and I to dinner for my birthday.

I've celebrated MANY birthdays with these girls!

The girls were all cute and stylin' in our black and white!

Here are the boys: Michael, Brian, Kirk (KJ), and Curt.

Thank you all for coming! It was a fun night and I love getting to catch up with my friends!

Painted cows

The kids love the painted cows in Southlake town square. After Mason's game, Brian, M&M, and I all went to eat lunch and to do a little shopping.
Maya had to sit on several of the cows on our walk to lunch.
