Tea Party

Maya got to go to Kirsten's birthday party at Let's Pretend.
I thought this sign on the wall was great! Hahaha

I loved to see all the little girls looking at their made up faces in the mirror...

Maya got something on her original dress up dress and had to change. She ended up in this risque Ariel costume that was a bit too small. It was pretty funny.

The very best part of the party was when each of the girls got to be introduced and they told the announcer their favorite color and what they wanted to be when they grow up. Several girls went before Maya and said they wanted to be a "princess." It was Maya's turn and we hear "This is Maya. Her favorite color is pink and she wants to be a donut maker when she grows up!" I could not contain my laughter....
Maya walked over and told me she didn't appreciate me laughing at her. I told her sorry, but that it caught me off guard.

28th Street

One of my college roommates, Amanda (on far left) was coming in town for work and we planned to meet for dinner. I thought it would be fun for the other roommates (Dina & Colette in the middle) to join and they were happy to. It had been about 10 years since some of them had seen each other, so it was SO. MUCH. FUN to get together and catch up. We laughed so much that we all got an ab workout that evening. We must NOT wait that long for our next mini reunion!!
We lived in a 4 bedroom house in Lubbock. The 4th bedroom had sort of a rotating roommate. The first one, Shelley, decided to go home to Amarillo for nursing school. Next, Mandy moved in, she was a girl that Dina and I worked with at The Blackeyed Pea. I think possibly Mandy moved out after some conflicts and because we all hated her ferrett, "Hershey." To be honest, I don't remember why she moved out. So, Colette moved in and was the final 4th room occupant. Unfortunately her stay was cut short when we were turned in for having more than 3 unrelated females living under one roof. Lubbock has a very OLD law to prevent brothels! haha.
