Happy Birthday to my Precious Angel Girl, Maya

I can't believe Maya is four years old!! After church on Maya's birthday, we went to Grandmother and Pops house for lunch. (Yes, Maya wore her new crown head band to church!) She was the birthday princess.

Maya was anxious to get into her presents, but we had a yummy lunch first!

Mason was walking around eating his required banana of the day.. and playing some game with Pops.

Chris, Julie and baby Kendall were there too and we were glad to see them. We were especially glad to see baby Kendall.

And she brought a special dress to wear because she knew Maya would think she looked like a baby princess...and she did!

Grandmother & Pops got Maya a special (and fragile!) tea set. We will have fun with this.

The kids like to get in the middle of Grandmother's pretty landscaping in the back. It makes for a nice back ground in pictures, but I'm sure Grandmother would prefer they not step in her plants.

I love these angels.

Mason was pretty sweet to Maya all day because it was her birthday. On the way into church, he told several greeters as we passed them, "this is my sister and she is 4 today", or "it's her birthday!"

Mason wanted to get up in this tree... it made a cute picture!

More Maya celebration

We met at Rosa's for a birthday dinner for Maya. The kids both like Rosa's and I figured it would be easier to get a table for a large group on a Saturday night at a place like Rosa's! (and it was)

My baby girl ... growing up toooooooo fast.

Maya was anxious to eat the Barbie cake that Gigi made for her.

Make a wish! One of the kids asked Maya "what did you wish for?" She answered "nothing."

An attempt was made at getting a picture of all the kids... I didn't get a good one...they were pretty wound up by this point.

Island Princess Castle

We got home from Maya's tea party and of course she wanted to get as many of her new toys out as possible. Brian and I worked quickly to cut things out of boxes... you know how well they secure toys in boxes these days!! Maya really wanted me to put the Island Princess Castle / Vanity together that Gigi and Hidy got her. (no surprise, I KNEW this would be a huge hit with her!) So we had a little more than an hour at home before we needed to leave to go celebrate Maya's birthday again with my family including everyone!! (not just the little girls)
So, it took me about an hour to get it together, but Maya was very pleased with the results!

Maya's Princess Tea Party

It was an easy choice when decided what to do for Maya's birthday this year. She is so into dress up and princesses, that we decided to have her party at Let's Pretend in downtown Grapevine. It is such a cute little place.

The girls got to pick out a dress up dress, a wand, a purse, a boa, jewelry, etc.
They are so cute and funny to watch.

After they were all dressed up, the girls sat down for their tea party. But first they got a little bit of make up. Mirror Mirror on the Wall (or in my hand....)

It was time for some fancy little finger foods...

Time to sing and blow out the candle on her fancy petit four!
