Nice try

We were getting ready for bed and I came back to my room to find this.... we do not let Raider sleep on our bed. But here, clearly he was saying "look how tired and cute I am....please????"

But nope, you have your own bed on the floor dog... but you are cute.

Pool time

We moved into a lease house... we will be in for about a month until we close on our house and have it remodeled some. Raider, Mason, and Maya have all REALLY enjoyed having a pool in the backyard.

Raider was cute with his new toy. Even though he tore it up, he cuddled with it on his bed.

Girls' Port A Weekend

I went on the annual girls weekend to Port Aransas. Janet, Wendy, Jill and I had a great time as we always do.


We talked, shopped, laughed a lot, danced, went to the beach, laid out at the pool and we even did some painting in the condo.

The bad news was Brian was back at home packing and moving without me. He is very gracious to let me go off every year with my girlfriends, and even more so this year in the middle of our move. Thanks P, I love you!

Fireworks - July 3

We went to the fireworks which are always a highlight for me.

David knows the Mayor and ran into him there.. he invited our kids to help him with the countdown. Maya held her ears and closed her eyes as tight as she could in preparation for the first loud bang.

I ran into my sweet cousin Greg!! He lives in Nevada, but his in laws live in the area so they were in town to see family. I was so happy to get to see him and his family. Doesn't he look like Tony Romo a little? Greg is the closest thing to a brother I ever had. He lived with us some when I was in high school.

Mason was THRILLED to get his face painted. He has wanted to do that for a long time, and I was finally able to make good on that promise.

Happy 9 Years!

It was 9 years ago today (July 8th) that I married my sweet husband, partner and friend!

And for those of you who were not there, he sang "A Song for Amy" to me at the reception. It was such a sweet surprise.
