Mason had a Valentine's Day party at school today. The kids were all supposed to wear pink. When I got that note last week, I
thought, well, I guess he will just wear some sort of Valentine's Day shirt - but I didn't expect to dress him in pink. Just when I had given up on finding anything "Valentine's" for him to wear - I came across a PINK polo style shirt. I thought at first it was for girls, but then quickly realized it was actually for boys! So, Yes, Mason wore a pink shirt today. He really liked it, too. He said "I have a pink shirt just like Nesha's." Nesha did also have a pink polo type shirt on today. Then he also noticed that Nesha had on pink and white shoes...."I want pink shoes like Nesha, too." Well, I am not going that far.... Oh and by the way, Brian was out of the country when I bought the pink shirt for Mason - and when I sent him off to school in it. I told him this afternoon about it all. After Brian heard that Mason asked for pink shoes he said "See, you are confusing him..." I laughed and assured him he was not confused.Nesha said when she took him to school everyone was commenting on how cute he looked in his pink shirt...strangers and all. His teachers LOVED him in his pink shirt...and so did his Mommy!
Ironically, Maya did NOT wear pink today.... She wore a cute red shirt that said "Heart Breaker."
I had a lovely Valentine's dinner with my 2 children. It was very fancy -- pizza. My husband is in route back to the USA!!! FINALLY. We missed him so much.
For the last 10 days I have heard these things from Mason over and over and over like a broken record: "Where's Dad?" When I tell him Australia, he says "Why?" I say "he had to go there for work, "Why?" I say "I don't know, Mason, he just had to"...some others "I miss Daddy so much" "I meed (need) my Dad" "I want my Daddy" "When is my Daddy coming home?" "I want my daddy so much".... "So much" has been added to any and all of his phrases about "daddy" whether it makes sense or not. He knows he has been gone for TOOOO long. This list goes on...
