My family loves to celebrate birthdays and other occasions. My Mom typically designated the next Sunday dinner at her house the birthday dinner for Maya even though we celebrated Maya's birthday on her actual birthday. (she typically does this for all family birthdays, especially the kids)As we pulled up to Gigi's house this Sunday, Mason saw the birthday cake flag hanging outside Gigi & Hidy's door and said "whose birthday is it today?"
I said "we are celebrating Maya again today"
Mason says with some concern in his voice "Is she 3?!?!?!" He knew we had already had her "birthday" at Chuck E. Cheese just a few days earlier and that now with was 2. He doesn't want anybody gaining any years on him!!!
Gig had cupcakes for the kids that were present and Maya opened her gift from Hidy & Gigi.
She loves her new Dora "motorcycle" or big wheel as I called them as a kid. Her legs aren't quite long enough to circle the peddles around all the way yet -- but it won't bee too long. She still enjoys sitting on it and scooting it.
