Chip, Debbie and Lindsay came in town Saturday to stay with us for the long weekend.
Sunday morning we headed up to the farm for the reunion. There were lots of outdoor plans on the agenda, but the rain kept most of us in for the day. Paula, Susan, and Fran (Grandmother) tooks lots of time and put much thought into the planning for this day.
They even got a spool that the kids could paint. They LOVED getting into the paints. They made some beautiful artwork! They each had their own Home Depot apron to help keep their clothes clean.
Recall before I said most of us stayed where it was dry....well, this started out innocently enough. Mason remembered last year watering the flowers with a watering can...so he wanted to do it again, even though God was taking care of the flowers with all the rain. Mason was filling up the can with the water dripping from the roof like he saw Grandmother do not long before.
But this is how it ended...and let me tell you, it was not that warm outside, so the boy was pretty cold since he was drenched in rain water. He did have fun doing it, though.
It was a good thing I had some dry clothes for him.
