Sea World Shamu & Dolphins

Maya, Mason, and Zoe are ready to go to Sea World! Maya poses with Mommy. Because you might be wondering by now, the spot on Maya's face is a sore, it is not chocolate or anything else on her face. It started early in the week as just looking sort of chapped and the next day it was a big scab.

Mason, Lauren, Maya and Zoe walk holding hands in a line.

Right after we saw the Clydesdale horses we made our way to see the dolphins and it was feeding time.
Soon after that we headed to see "Believe" the Shamu show. Shamu put on a good show, but something was definitely missing this year. The trainers did not get in the water with the whales and did not do all of their tricks... I thought that was one of the coolest parts of the show last year. Apparently there have been some accidents and maybe they don't do all that they used to.
Gigi wondering how wet we were going to get...we sat on one of the rows marked "Splash Zone."

Mason and Hidy sat in the REAL Splash zone, probably on about the 4th row, maybe 8 or 9 rows closer than the rest of us. Shamu SOAKED them!! Mason LOVED this and said it was his favorite part of the day. After all, since last year's visit, this is what he has been asking to do... that is, sit close enough for Shamu to get him wet.

The kids also especially loved the Shamu Express roller coaster. They rode it probably 6 or 8 times. Luckily we caught it at a time when there was a very short or no line.

Another highlight was "Viva!" which is the Beluga whale and dolphin show. The kids were very entertained. I caught Maya and Zoe with this genuine laughter and applause.

I want to hear the rest of the story.
Maya really reminded me of me yesterday when she was talking about it (and Zoe of Allison).
