Eve of July 4th

Southlake had their fireworks display on July 3rd. It was a good chance to get in a show when we knew we didn't have to get up and go anywhere quickly the next morning -- we knew it would be a late night.

Of course, M&M remembered that last year we bought them an overpriced toy at the Southlake fireworks...so they walked DIRECTLY to the SAME CORNER and found the SAME TYPE VENDOR there selling more overpriced, loud, obnoxious toys. Maya got a butterfly that lights up and plays a very loud song about fluttering thru the sky. Mason got a gun that lights up and makes very loud noises, as well.

Mason shows off his Fellowship Adventure Weekend shirt. He was supposed to wear it this weekend to see if he got spotted by anyone from church -- but no one did spot him...
Just as the fireworks started, Maya saw this guy walking around on stilts. She was VERY intrigued by this and insisted on shaking his hand. As he got closer to us, Brian went with her to shake his hand. He stopped to pose for a picture with them -- but Maya was so entralled in his LOOOOONG legs that she couldn't look at the camera!

We didn't get home and get the kids to bed until around 11 p.m. We were all very sleepy when we got home.
