Field Day!

I took off work to go to Field day at Mason's school. It's always fun to see all the kids so excited and into their events.
First up was the 3 legged race, in which these days they use a big bag for the 3rd leg rather than tying legs together. Mason was partnered with his friend Reese.

Next was the traditional sack race...

There was a bouncing relay on big bouncy balls, and then another relay where they ran down and had to find 3 golf balls hidden in a bucket of flour! What a mess!

Later each first grade class split the boys and the girls up and did individual sprints. Mason won first place for the boys in his class! Way to go Boy!!

And the classic egg on a spoon relay.. but the egg is wooden. Pretty clever.

Last was class tug of war. It was pretty exciting. They got to compete several times.

They are working so hard...

and come away with a VICTORY!! Mason is so excited as you can see with his hands up!
I helped in concessions and got assigned to make snow cones! Wow!! That was an exciting job! It was fun and crazy and busy!
