Girl's Beach Getaway

I've been going to Port Aransas with Wendy almost every year for about the last 20 years!!! Oh my gosh that makes me sound so old-- but it's true. I met Wendy in Junior High. I remember going to Port A with her family in the summer and we had a blast. I remember her Mother, Lynn, saying to us as very young girls, "will y'all come back to Port Aransas and bring your own families?"... and sure enough we do. I don't know why that always stuck in my mind, but it did. Wendy has been nice enough to invite me back many many times since the late 80's!

We have been to Port A in all phases of our lives together from our single college days up to married mommies with family in tow. Each time great memories are made.

This time Wendy invited me on a girl's getaway -- no kids. Just time to relax and have fun. So it was Wendy, Erika, Jill and I -- and I had a fabulous time.

We relaxed by the pool, had girl talk, shopped, danced, went to the beach, did a little make-over work to the condo and just enjoyed our weekend away.

I didn't realize how much I needed this trip -- thank you again girls for a super weekend! Thank you, Wendy, for inviting me!
