Surprise, Surprise -- Angi is 40

Happy Birthday to my sister, Angi. We had a Surprise Party for Angi Saturday night. She thought she was just coming to Allison and Bill's house for Bob and Bill's (brother in law) birthday that is just a few days before Angi's -- but she arrived to find out the party was all for her! On the way to Allison's I broke the news to Mason and Maya that the party was really a surprise for Angi... Mason's reaction was worry for Eva. His concern was that when we all yelled "Surprise" to Angi, Eva would be scared. Well, he was exactly right. She made the most pitiful sad face and really cried just as soon as we all yelled. Mason ran to comfort her -- he has such a tender heart sometimes and really thinks of others. Maya's reaction to the news that the party was actually for Angi, however, was a little different. She was ,I guess, feeling bad for Bill... "NO IT IS NOT ANGI's PARTY -- IT IS BILL's BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!" She kept arguing with me, so I finally left it alone.

Allison thought of a sort of Mary Englebreight style cake for Angi. There is a poster that says "You Take the Cake" and it seemed to fit. Angi was always fond of her stuff.

Bethany was home from A&M and came to the party. Lauren is always glad to see Bethany.

I barely saw Mason and Maya all night. They stayed in the backyard with the MANY kids that were there. They all had a fun time.
