Day 4, Magic Kingdom

This was probably my favorite day, well, at least the first half of the day. We went back to Magic Kingdom with a plan to ride some of the previous days favorites and then a few rides we did not make it to the day before. I felt less pressured to get things in. Also, we planned to leave mid afternoon to go back to the hotel and rest and come back that night for the Wishes Fireworks over Cinderella's castle.

As soon as we got to the park, Mason, Maya and I headed to the Racetrack and Brian went to gather a few fast passes. His new nicke name is "Fast Pass P" we decided.

The kids had fun driving the car, we rode it 2 times in a row so they each could have a turn driving.

They were given some sort of Mickey Mouse driver's license and thought that was super cool.

A bit later in the morning we made time to see story time with Belle. I dedicated a lot of pictures of this event because I enjoyed it SO much.

Belle told the abbreviated version of "Beauty and the Beast" starring herself. She asked several children on the stage to help her act out the story. She panned the audience looking for "the Beast" and immediately called Brian up to the stage.

Her 2 assistance robbed Brian in his Beast costume. The kids and I were beaming.

Later in the story Belle dances with the Beast...

And Belle LIKES the Beast...

The Beast fights Gaston...

The Beast dies.....

And BECOMES A PRINCE!

Brian was such a good sport and it was so fun for us to see him up their on stage. Brian has always claimed Ariel as his favorite princess... but Belle might be moving ahead after all that!

Speaking of Ariel...we decided to take time out to meet her. It was HOT and the kids were able to play in some water while we waited in line.

The kids were both soaked by the time it was our turn to meet Ariel.

Brian and Maya were very excited to meet Ariel!

She flapped her fin at us when we left. We rode the Big Thunder Mountain railroad again and the back to Splash Mountain. I got completely soaked being in the front row of the log. We headed back to the hotel for several hours to try to recharge for a late night.

We didn't get the kids to nap, but we did make them lay down and rest while they watched a movie. We gave them a shower / bath and got them redressed. Maya wanted to wear her Sleepy Beauty dress up dress.

She also wore her new mini tiara! Very fancy.

We got back to the park rode a few rides, ate dinner and got in position for the parade prior to the fireworks. This is where our night started to decline. The kids were getting tired while waiting for the parade and we had promised the kids a lollipop or something similar. Well, things were starting to be roped of and it was a sea of people. We could not make good on our promise. We saw the parade, but not well, we were about 6 people back and I was holding Maya and Brian holding Mason so that they could see. We were hot and tired and just over it at this point. But we wanted to stay for the fireworks which were at 10.

The castle looked cool with the different color lights shining on it.

As soon as the parade was over, people started moving and the streets were opened up. We wanted to move closer to the exit for the fireworks... for a couple of reasons: 1) because we wanted a quick exit to the "Mama Rail" (monorail) as Maya called it and 2) we had a tip from ride max on the best viewing area. We had our mind sets on buying a lollipop at this point. We went into the gift shop with a million other people and got them a sugar fix to help them make it until the fireworks.

The fireworks were set to the "Wishes" story and music which was cool.

The very minute the fireworks show ended we DARTED toward the exit. We did a good job getting on the first available "Mama Rail", but that is when our evening took a turn for the worse. Mason fell asleep literally in less than 2 minutes of sitting down in the monorail. We arrive at the hotel shuttle area (me carrying Mason) and wait for a bus that is supposed to come every 30 minutes. There was room on a bench for me to sit, which was great because Mason is near 50 pounds. However, I couldn't help position us to get on a shuttle and more and more people were starting to walk up. There wasn't any order or line. Maya with her HUGE lollipop in hand falls asleep against my arm. We waited about an hour or more before a shuttle finally showed. Brian and others had called the hotels to complain and question where the shuttles were. The only reason we even have this miserable picture is because I knocked the camera off my lap onto the concrete. Brian picked it up and was trying to make sure it still worked! So, we did finally make it back to our hotel, I believe it was just before MIDNIGHT!
