I walked him down to the bus stop and he could not walk fast enough. I couldn't keep up with him in my heels.
The kids all gathered and lined up waiting for the bus. We are so fortunate to have great neighbors and that the bus stop is only about 5 houses down from us.
Mason had the sweetest most excited expression as the bus pulled up. It was like this dream he had been having was finally coming true.
He climbed on the bus and I got teary and sad. My little boy is growing up too fast. Brian and I hurried to our car to drive to his school. We beat the bus and waited at the drop off point to get him.
He made it -- he acted like he knew just what to do.

He made it -- he acted like he knew just what to do.His buddy Preston is in his class and sitting at the SAME table as Mason. I doubt that will last very long. Brian and I went to have a cup of coffee with some of the other Kindergarten parents and then we went on to work.
Gigi asked if she could meet him at the school bus after school to take some pictures and see how his day was.
Of course, I was happy for her to do so. Here comes the school bus! He made it back home. We are told his school bus driver is the best around. The kids love her. Apparently she lets them take turns bringing their CD's to share with all their school bus friends. And even cooler than that, she gives them candy on Fridays we are told. I'm so proud of my boy.

Wow! It's hard to believe that you've got one in kindergarten. I bet that was a pretty bittersweet day for you! Mason and Maya are so cute and it looks like y'all have so much fun! Hope all is well.
